The Kendriya Vidyalaya New Tehri Town was establish as CIVIL sector school under KVS New Delhi governed by HRD Ministry Govt. of India, open at New Tehri Town on 02.02.1987. Initially there were classes from class I to class VIII.
Resently, As on June 2024, Kendriya Vidyalaya New Tehri Town is having classes up to 12. class I to Class V are still single section whereas class VI to Class X has 2 sections each. Class XI and XII has 1 Science section and 1 Commerce Section each. The total strength of the school is about 700 students..
